Ariel is a graduate of Tuskegee University with a degree in Animal and Poultry Science. Upon completing her studies she began a career as a certified K-12 educator teaching Anatomy and Physiology.
Growing up, Ariel loved using her grandmothers recipes to make fresh, homemade desserts. It wasn't until later in life that she realized the cakes could be pretty. From this discovery AND Confections was born in 2010.
We are a boutique bakery specializing in wedding cakes and special events cakes serving the Metro Atlanta area.
As a wife and former bride, I can truly understand the pressure and stress that a bride can be under when choosing a cake for the wedding. Next to your dress, the cake is probably a wedding’s most important icon. And whether you want a traditional multi-tiered confection, a miniature Eiffel Tower (hey, that’s where he proposed!) or a cupcake tower, your wedding cake should reflect your personality. Use the following questions as a guide when evaluating a potential cake designer. Below you will find a list of topics and questions, that I found to be most useful when choosing my cake designer, to ask your cake designer. You will also be able to view my personal response to these questions.
The best gift to give is love, time and cake. - Ariel
I’ve often found that life’s problem can be solved with a smile and a slice of cake. - Ariel
It is the joy that we see once someone tastes a piece of our desserts. Or the excitement when they see the creation made from dessert. That is the essence why we continue to do it. - Jan
How often does someone get to be a part of such wonderful occasions other than bakers? Weddings, Baby Showers, Graduations...there is nothing like what we do. - Jan
